Matchday first began as a way of combining two passions – football and photography.
A project started during the 2019-20 season, Matchday’s first season was spent attending a number of Norwich City FC home and away games, capturing the crowd and the atmosphere through a fans eye.
With Covid bringing almost all live sport to a halt for spectators throughout the next season, the purpose of Matchday took a turn, instead focusing on the abstract intricacies of stadium architecture.
Matchday is an ongoing, ever-evolving project that captures the unseen subtleties and details of what makes sport – and in particular sporting venues – so personal and unique.
